Position: Eye Surgeon (Ophthalmologist)

Salary : 3 Lakhs per Month

Job Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with eye and vision disorders, including comprehensive history-taking, physical examination, and diagnostic testing.
  • Diagnosis: Utilize diagnostic tools such as slit-lamp examination, tonometry, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and other advanced imaging techniques to diagnose eye conditions.
  • Surgical Procedures: Perform a wide range of eye surgeries, including cataract extraction, LASIK, corneal transplants, glaucoma surgery, retinal detachment repair, and other procedures to treat eye conditions and diseases.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including surgical and non-surgical interventions, medication management, and follow-up care.
  • Postoperative Care: Provide postoperative care, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Emergency Care: Respond to and manage ocular emergencies, including trauma, acute glaucoma, retinal detachments, and other urgent conditions.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about eye conditions, treatment options, surgical procedures, and postoperative care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient encounters, surgical procedures, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and peer reviews to enhance the quality of care provided in the ophthalmology department.
  • Research and Development: Engage in clinical research and stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and eye surgery techniques.
  • Professional Development: Pursue continuous education and training opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Ophthalmology.
  • Board Certification: Board certification in Ophthalmology.
  • Licensing: Valid medical license to practice.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Ophthalmologist with expertise in performing eye surgeries.
  • Skills: Proficiency in ophthalmic surgical techniques, diagnostic procedures, and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
