Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform and interpret a wide range of gynecological imaging studies, including pelvic ultrasounds, hysterosalpingograms (HSG), sonohysterography, MRI, and CT scans.
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient history and clinical information to ensure appropriate imaging procedures are selected and performed for gynecological conditions.
- Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret medical images related to gynecological health, including uterine, ovarian, and other pelvic abnormalities, providing accurate and timely reports.
- Interventional Procedures: Perform image-guided interventional procedures, such as biopsies and drainages, related to gynecological conditions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with gynecologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
- Consultation: Offer expert consultation to physicians and other healthcare providers on radiological findings and their implications for patient management, particularly in gynecological health.
- Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in radiological practices, including radiation safety and adherence to protocols specific to gynecological imaging.
- Technology Utilization: Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology and techniques relevant to gynecology and apply them to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
- Patient Education: Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance, particularly addressing concerns related to gynecological health.
- Research and Education: Participate in clinical research and contribute to the education and training of medical staff and students, with a focus on gynecological radiology.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and radiology reports in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
